Purpose of the role
We need to build a strong interest in our heritage to bring a greater number and a wider variety of visitors to our site and events. We offer a tranquil green space for people to enjoy a walk, a heritage experience where visitors can learn about past lives and events focused on memory and stories that give attendees opportunities to reflect on universal questions. We are looking for someone with experience of social media marketing and content creation.

Key responsibilities:
Help us develop and execute social media campaigns for upcoming events.
Produce fresh and engaging content for our social media channels.
Prepare graphics for sharing across channels.
Engage with our followers and encourage interaction.
Manage and maintain social media channels on a regular basis.
What we are looking for:
Experience in writing and editing marketing content for social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and X (Twitter).
Experience in building strategies to increase social media following and/or build fundraising or awareness campaigns.
Knowledge of how to develop a coherent brand voice for social media, from content creation to community interactions.
Experience in using various online platforms.
Ability to create content calendars to help plan social media activity.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
The ability to quickly understand the needs and sensitivities of our organisation.
Someone who understands the resource constraints of a small charity and is able to work with these.

Availability:
This role will require approximately 3 hours of work per week, which can be undertaken from home.
